Theory test

You can sit the theory test once you have completed all the theory lessons included in the course, as well as the self-study assignments.

You may sit the theory test no earlier than one month before you reach the required age. If you are studying under an age exemption, you may sit the theory test from the age of 17. You may sit the Class T theory test from the age of 15.

You must have obtained a provisional driving licence before taking the theory test.

You can book your theory test at ajovarma.fi using the driving school code “epicautokoulu/turku”.

You can book a theory test with no time limit by visiting an Ajovarma office. You must present a certificate of dyslexia when making the booking.

What should I bring to the theory test?

• Money / for the bank card test fee
• Photo ID (passport, national ID card, driving licence)
• Valid driving licence

For driving licence categories C, C1, C1E and D, you will need to bring Form E-100 with you to the test. Remember to ask your driving school for the form after submitting your driving licence application.

Driving lessons and how to book them

Driving lessons on a simulator

Simulator driving lessons are carried out independently at the training centre. The lessons are supervised remotely by a driving instructor, who is available to help you if needed.

You can book simulator sessions directly via the app’s booking system. You can book sessions at different locations, meaning you can take your simulator lessons flexibly at different centres if you wish.

You can unlock the door to the office using the Securitas Flow mobile app. Once you have registered for the course, you will receive an email from noreply@flow.securitas.com. The email may end up in your spam folder, so please check there. You can use the link in the email to create a user account for the Securitas Flow app. Instructions on how to use the Securitas Flow app can be found in the documents section of the Epic app.

Driving lessons with an instructor

Send a request for a driving lesson to your instructor via the Epic app. Your instructor will either confirm the lesson or suggest an alternative time. You can also set your own availability in the app’s profile settings. 

Points to note in the AM & A categories:

• For the AM and A categories, the theory test must be passed before booking driving lessons.
• AM120 driving lessons may only be taken once the learner has reached the age of 15.
• A1/A2/A manoeuvring exercises are carried out on the driving school’s enclosed manoeuvring area.

Please make sure you have obtained all the necessary documents, submitted your driving licence application, attended all your theory lessons and paid your driving school fees. Ask for help if you need it! We are available via a range of channels every weekday.

What if I can’t make it to the driving lesson?

Cancellations must be made via the app or by contacting customer service at least 24 hours before the start of the driving lesson.

If a driving lesson is not cancelled, or is cancelled too late, we will be obliged to charge 50% of the lesson fee in accordance with the terms of the contract.

Please note that the cancellation policy applies to everyone, including simulator driving lessons.

Further information on course invoicing and payment methods

Epic offers a range of payment methods for the course, and the payment method you choose will partly affect how the course is delivered. Below is some information about the different payment methods:

An epic bill

• You can pay your bill in 1–4 instalments. Invoices will appear in the Epic app shortly after you have registered.
• Once you have paid the invoice, the corresponding amount will be credited to your Epic account. Once you have a balance in your account, you can, for example, book theory lessons or driving lessons.
• You can pay the invoice in advance before the due date, in which case the balance will be available to you as soon as the payment has been processed. 
• If you pay for the course in a single instalment (1 payment), the full amount will be credited to your course account as soon as the payment has been processed by Epic.
• You can find your invoices in the ‘Wallet’ section of the Epic app

Klarna / credit card payment

• If you pay for the course via Klarna or by credit card, the full course balance will be credited to your course account immediately. This means you’ll have full access to the service right from the start of the course.

Online banking payment

• You can pay for the course via online banking. As soon as your payment has been processed, you will have access to all the course content.

Regardless of your payment method, you will receive an electronic receipt for the payment transaction or order via email.

• If you have a Gmail/Hotmail/Live account, please remember to check your spam folder as well.
• An automatic payment reminder is sent 14 days after the due date.
• When making a payment, always quote the reference number and amount for the relevant invoice.

I don’t want to take part in the course

If you wish to suspend your course, please contact our billing department at laskutus@epicautokoulu.fi.

In the event of a course being suspended, our current terms and conditions will apply. 

Please note that if, for example, you move to another town, you can change the location where you are taking the course and continue until the end at one of our other centres. In this case, you will not need to interrupt the course. Please contact our customer service by phone, email or in person at the office. Please note that when changing locations, the price of the service order will be adjusted to match the price list of the location where the training programme will be completed.
