Would you like to drive a lorry? A Category C driving licence entitles you to drive heavy vehicles with a maximum authorised mass of over 3,500 kg. At Epic, you’ll find Category C training courses across Finland – with or without professional qualifications.

🕒 Age limit and eligibility criteria
- The minimum age for a Category C driving licence is 21
- With special permission, a Category C licence may be issued to a younger person if their studies or work require it
- You must have passed your B driving test before starting your C training
A Category C licence entitles the holder to drive
➡️ lorries and other motor vehicles with a maximum mass exceeding 3,500 kg
➡️ vehicles that can carry up to 8 passengers (in addition to the driver)
➡️ combinations where the total mass of the trailer does not exceed 750 kg
➡️ A C licence includes the right to drive vehicles in category C1
💼 Category C driving licence and professional qualifications
It is possible to take the C licence test:
- without professional qualifications (e.g. for private use or recreational vehicles)
- professional qualifications, if your aim is to work as a lorry driver
Professional qualification training (280 hours or 140 hours) is required if you drive a lorry for a living. Epic offers both options.
