Applying for a teaching permit - step by step 📝
You can apply for a licence either through Traficom's online service. Things to consider in the application process:
- The instructor must be at least 25 years old and hold a driving licence valid for at least 5 years for the category of vehicle concerned.
- The teacher must not have any serious traffic offences.
- You can apply for a teaching permit for one or more pupils at a time.
- After the permit has been issued, you can purchase the necessary equipment (e.g. additional mirrors, pedals).
What studies must be completed at a driving school when obtaining a driving licence with a learner's permit? 🎓
Although driving lessons are taught at home, certain training is compulsory and must be completed at a driving school:
1. EAS training (Training for first licence holder)
EAS theoretical training is compulsory for everyone who is getting their first driving licence. It consists of four theory lessons, which you can complete conveniently online with us.
2. Risk Identification Training (RTI)
The RTK includes 4 hours of theory and 4 hours of driving. The driving lessons include driving in dark and slippery conditions and can be partly done in a simulator or in a real car. The RTK course must be completed before the driving test.
3. Theory test and driving test
These are carried out at Ajovarma. You can only take the theory test after completing the EAS training, and the driving test after the RTK.
