Motorcycle courses
Depending on the size of the bike, you will need an A1, A2, or A-category driving licence to ride the motorcycle.
Category A1 entitles you to ride a light motorcycle
Category A2 entitles you to drive medium motorcycles
Class A entitles you to drive the biggest motorcycles
Card categories
Class A1 entitles you to drive a light motorcycle with a cylinder capacity not exceeding 125cm³ and a maximum power of 11kW. The age limit for the light motorcycle category (A1) is 16 years.
Category A2 entitles to drive medium-sized motorcycles with a power not exceeding 35kW and a power/weight ratio not exceeding 0,2kW/kg. The age limit for the A2 licence category is 18 years.
Class A entitles you to drive all classes of motorcycles. The age limit for the A licence category is 24 years (or 20 years if you have a category A2 driving licence valid for 2 years.
You can take the theory test one month before you meet the age requirement for the selected card category.
If you already have an A1 / A2 driving licence and want to raise your card to a larger category, sign up for the A1 >A2 or A2->A elevation course. The elevation courses include 2 online theory classes and 5 driving lessons, after which you will receive a teaching certificate from us. Submit the certificate to ajovarma's service point as an attachment to the application for a driving licence permit. With an elevation course, you don't have to take a theory or driving test.
Driver instruction
The driver training of the motorcycle course includes a 4-hour EAS theory module (training for the first driver of the licence). If you already have a driving licence for another card category, you do not need to complete EAS online lessons.
Motorcycle course packages also include extensive electronic self-study material, as well as a theory test training program that allows you to carefully prepare for a theory test.
Once the theory test has been successfully completed, you can book driving lessons from your driving instructor. You can find the contact information for your teaching in the e-learning system.
Our course packages provide all necessary driving equipment, and include the use of a driving school motorbike for both handling exercises and the actual driving test.
It is also possible to buy additional driving lessons according to the price list for all our course packages.

You can start theoretical studies online as soon as your registration has been confirmed and driving lessons have been confirmed, as well as the handling and driving test is agreed flexibly and promptly with your driving instructor. In connection with the enrolment, you will be appointed your own driving instructor, who will take care of you throughout the learning path.
You can also contact our customer service at any time if you do not know what to do next, how to proceed with the course, you want to change your teacher, postpone the due date of the invoice, or any matter related to the driving school is a matter of concern. Our customer service will serve you by phone, as well as in the chat room on the website every day of the week, including on weekends!
Driving licence permit
At the beginning of the course, you must obtain a driving licence permit, the permit must be valid before taking the theory test. You can apply for a permit at the earliest at the age of 14. You can apply for a driving licence authorisation electronically in Traficom's service or from ajovarma's office.

Our versatile course packages offer options at different prices. You can complete the course fee by invoice in one section, select an Epic invoice in several monthly instalments (1-6), or break the fee into smaller instalments with Klarna's versatile payment options!
Driver's examination
The driver's examination of categories A/A1/A2 is divided into a theoretical knowledge, handling and driving test. The purpose of the tests is to ensure that you have learned and internalised the things that have been discussed in driver training, as well as to be able to apply them in traffic situations and to be able to act as a responsible driver in traffic.
When completing a motorcycle card, you can take the theory test one month before you meet the age requirement for the card category you have completed.
After the approved driving test, you will receive the right to drive the card category you have completed.

Enrol in the course
After enrolment, you will receive an email to the student system, where you can start the theory studies of the course at any time.
Theoretical studies
If the course package you have selected includes additional theory lessons under the guidance of the teacher (remotely in the virtual classroom in finnish), after enrolment, you will receive instructions on how to participate in these classes by email, as well as a schedule from which you can choose the most suitable time to participate for you.
Please note that additional theory classes are not mandatory and their course progress is not affected.
Self-instruction
In the student system you will find plenty of self-assessment assignments, theory exercise tests, and you will be able to familiarise yourself with the course's electronic textbook.
Theory test
Please note that the driving licence permit must be applied for before taking the theory test. You do not need an EAS or a diploma with you, the data is transferred electronically 🙂 from us

Driving hours
If you feel that you need more training before the processing test, or if you want to train more than certain things, you can buy additional driving lessons in addition to the driving lessons included in the course. You can find out more about additional driving lessons from your teacher.
Handling and driving test
You will not pass the processing test, go through the feedback from the exam with your teacher so that you are aware of what things still need to be practiced before participating in the replay.

You will receive a certificate of approval of the driver's examination, which gives you the right to drive in Finland for six months.
Your driver's license will be delivered to you by post.
